Cornerstone Recovery is a addiction treatment center for teens and their family. Adolescents from 13 to 19 are welcome, parents, and other adult family members. Sometimes parents come first, before their child is willing to go. Some adolescents come first, before talking it over with their parents. Some families start together. Any one is welcome to start by just showing up at a 12-step meeting!
Cornerstone Recovery conducts a comprehensive assessment which covers psychiatric, psychological, and medical problems, learning disabilities, family functioning, and other aspects of the adolescent?s life. They use a comprehensive, integrated treatment approach that addresses all aspects of the adolescent?s life. Their program also addresses the distinct needs of adolescent boys and girls, as well as, cultural differences among minorities.
Research has shown that involving parents in the teen?s drug treatment produces better outcomes. Therefore, Cornerstone Recovery places an emphasis on involving the teen?s parents in the recovery process. This includes continuing care programs including: relapse prevention training, aftercare plans, referrals to community resources, and follow up.
Cornerstone Recovery also has an Adventure Learning Program (ALP) that offers exciting opportunities to integrate mind, body and spirit to develop healthy ways to live. Their Adventure Learning Programs include: Mountain Biking, Rock Climbing, Rafting, Sky-diving, Camping and Hiking.
