Job Summary/Basic Function:
East Stroudsburg University invites applications for a part-time, temporary Instructor of
Biology position for spring 2013.This is a posting for consideration by PASSHE faculty with rights under Article
29 of the Agreement between APSCUF and PASSHE.
The Department of Biological Sciences of East Stroudsburg University seeks applicants competent to teach Introductory Biology labs on the diversity, structure, and function of plants and animals. Candidate should demonstrate teaching excellence in areas of competence. Final selection will be based on excellence in scholastic achievement, a review of the candidate's curriculum vitae and a successful interview.
Required Qualifications:
A Masters in Biological Sciences and/or a related field is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Ph.D. or related field. ABD candidates are encouraged to apply.
Candidates currently enrolled in a doctoral program are encouraged to apply, but should make clear what progress they have made toward
completion. A strong background in undergraduate and/or graduate teaching, on-line teaching, and working with diverse student populations
are also preferred.
